Lord of The Rings

If you are a fan of Lord of The Rings or you just liked the movie gimme a post.

I am a hardcore Lord of The rings fan. Ive read all three books plus the Hobbit. I've been wanting to read the simmerallion but i cant sem to get my hands on a copy.

Aw thats sad. I've read it. Not my favorite but it was still good.

I loved the books, don't nessicarily like the movies. I call it the butcher of plots. When some one has the nerve to have Sam and Frodo split up at all has to have a lot of guts and not enough respect for the fans. Now, If I hadn't have read the books 8 times then I would say it was an awesome movie (which it was in it's own rights) but, I think they sacrificed tghe plot to much for theatrics.

Your absolutely right. They was such much they changed and left out it almost made me sick. Although, i was suprieseda t how much they did put in considering it's just a movie. Remakes of books by cinema are always a bit shallow.

I love LOTR. You have to admit that the books are a little slow in some parts, like when Tolkien would sieze an opportunity to drift off subject and go into the many ancient myths and legends of the elves. But that was mainly in FOTR. Otherwise, I think it's a great book series, especially TTT. Say what you will about the movies, they are cinematic masterpieces. I do find it hard to believe that Peter Jackson would feel he had the freedom to make so many changes. All in all, it does have the same ending lol. Now,

Great storyline, I was a little disappointed by the movies

I just watched the Return of the King again last night, and it reminded me how much they did change... They totally screwed Denethor's character, man. He's like, become this evil maniac lol.

yeah. But you do have to give them props. I mean its a HUGE undertaking.

I loved Grond. Perhaps the best thing they did with the movie.

I especially like what they ihncluded in the extended edition of the Return of The King about the ARMY OF THE DEAD. Those were some of the best scenes in the movie. And they also included Elessar facing Sauron through the Planitir. Although there was one thing that really got on my nerves, the army at the black gate that Elessar led was much to small, it numbered 6000 in the book i beieve.

Thier geen, and they looks like soap bubbles. And, they remind me of the commercial of the Scrubbing bubble going through and cleanign all the dirt and stuff.

Humor is really strange, like, how we laugh. It's very wierd how we think things are funny.

It's just part of peoples character, if we didn't have a sense of humer then we'd be pretty boring.
