| Oppie:
Oppie was born in the forests of Georgia. His family was Quaker, and he was devoted in his religion. He also had a love for animals, and was often seen walking through the forests, just listening to the birds.
He was a determined young man. He was very abolisonist and more then willing to help slaves escape. “He’s the bloodiest Yank in Georgia,” was the common phrase when they talked about him in that part of Georgia.
When war broke out, he refused to join either side. When asked why, he said, “I’ll be danged if I’ll fight.” His religion said, no fighting, and he was more then willing to adhere to those rules.
But, in 1862, things would change. The C.S. Congress passed the first draft law, and on Oppie's 17th birthday, Georgia passed a law which gave draft officers the right to force Quakers to fight. Several Confederate draft officers carried out the law and took him from his home in the dead of night and forced him into the infantry.
He tried to desert, but couldn’t. By 1864, he had given up trying to run away. By May, his comrades had given up on him carrying a gun, so, they made him the color bearer. The regiment was integrated into the Army of Tennessee and fought against Sherman during the Atlanta Campaign.
When Hood took over, he launched several attacks that wrecked the Army of Tennessee. The regiment was spared until the Battle of Ezra Church. The Quaker, forced into the front line because of the flag, was sent straight up against a battery. Oppie was killed when a blast of canister hit him and tore him to pieces.

| Yeah. There's no possible way of knowing what you would have been. Oh, and Adro, while studying about Bull Run II, I read about a colonel who had epilepsy. Right before the battle, he had a seizure or something, and had to give up command of the reg. for the battle. | |

| So do you have more infos about that officer with epilepsy?
That would be really interesting since in a way I think I can relate with him.

| Sure do. I didn't have the info on hand, but, I got it now just to make sure I got it right. Silas King-commanded a division (my bad on saying it was a regiment and his rank, which is surely higher), his division is credited to Bri. Gen. John Hatch for the battle of Second Manassas. Sadly, I can't find any good bios or anything beyond that. There are several Silas Kings' in the war, but, I'm not sure which one is him. | |

A Missouri Lady who is renowned for her sewing ability, And a Texas Belle who had an abusive father and became a nun. Actually, Trav didn't die either.

| Not really IBG, but, ever played the Wing Commander series? When it comes to this game, it s starting with an all out war in space where the entire human race is against the Kilrathi Empire, the Kilrathi are actually an evolved humanoid race but from felines when humans were started from monkeys that got evolved (at least according to Darwins theory). This series of games based on that war has been going on for nearly 10 years before it was abandonned unless there is still more episodes that I dont know of. When you see a cat fly a starfighter getting ready to take you down with missiles, Neutron Cannons and Mass-Drivers, and a Nobleman title, THAT is a scary thought. | |
