I am writing a report on States Rights and such and that falls right in the catagory. I think it wasn't the best thing. The government couldn't get things passed because the states kept nullifiying the laws. Very bad for the economy.

Yes, there's always that fine line. One idea would be to have the unconstitutionality of a law proved in, say, the supreme court, or the State's superior court. And Oppie, go do your homework.

An interesting fact about the Confederate Government, is that it almost disproved the whole sovereignity arguement, by showing how inneficient this form of government was in wartime. However, inneficient though it may have been, it was in the best interests of the people to have such a government.
