| Gen. Lee, you're right, so far as that many books are simply "biased by omision." This is a very effective tool in historical and political works. All I ever said about the transcript in question though, was that it is my opinion that this single transcript is not biased on its face. I sited that it is not a narrative, which can be easily construed, but a compilation of quotes and first hand accounts given by eyewitnesses and many key figures involved. The author also sites each source, thereby giving it substantial credibility. Thus, no matter how biased the author of this transcript was, the worst he could do would be to have only one side's telling of the story. However, as I stated before, the transcript includes both sides' takes on the event. This is what I meant when I said that it is possible for such a transcript to be unbiased, at least in those respects. | |

| Did you know that a Colonel from Ohio was mistaken as the real Sherman? He was Colonel Sherman, and he was captured, in the same place that half an hour before, the real Sherman was. He had fun making the rebs believe he was the real Sherman. Then, when he was taken to the officers of that rebel outfit, one of the officers knew the real Sherman, and, they finnally got it all figured out. | |

| Wow, he really does see the light now! We did it Lee! Welcome to the world of truth, Oppie. Of course, now that we have established the fact that Sherman breached the code of conduct and committed astounding war crimes, we can see that his real aims of the march were not bringing an end to hostilities, but "punishing" the South, his style. | |

| Having spent a lot of time in an asylum myself, Sherman shouldn't even have been a general, let alone a commanding officer when the entire country is in chaos. You wouldn't believe what it's like in those places, in some cases they always got a bunch of guys who can take completely suicidal decisions, and if Sherman was that type, not only he could have get himself KIA very easily, but his entire units might not even have survived the first battles they would get themselves into. Because of Paranoia cases (I don't know if Sherman was that type) any commanding officer who is that case might even have ordered his own men shot just because that commanding officer wouldn't trust them due to paranoid instincts. Which is a good reason to be really afraid when you have such man in charge. | |

| The only reason he was in the nut house was Sherman said, "It's going to be a long war." | |
