Whos seen Gods and Generals?

I did. It had some big faults in my opinion. It was given to more speeches than regular conversation. They favored the south instead of egualling it out like the books did. And, instead of following the books like Gettysburg did, it took some major deviations. But, it was overall a good movie. They did the battles well and they had some supurb moments.

It seem to me it was TOO equal lol. and I dont think it was as historically accurate as it shoulda been.(my personal opinion)

So, you wanted all southern? Lol. Probably not. I think they needed to add more to the battle sceans, and should have dealt with the friendship of Armistead and Hankcock. I mean, it was a major point in Gettysburg. Armistead hardly even was in there and Hankok only got maybe twenty or thirty minutes of screen time. But hey, who's counting?

I've seen it. Had some friends in it. Think it was a tad farby (if you don't know what that means, Private Message me) And need more battle sceans.

I'm starting to think I'm missing out on a lot.

The only Civil War movie I really saw was Gettysburg

Don't worry about missing out. I only saw Gettysburg the first time three years ago.

Gods and Generals was an awesome show I watched that show in school and at my great grandparents house

I've seen parts of Gods and Generals, but not the whole movie.

I just wathced it a few days ago. It was an all around good movie but it did favor the south.

Yes... it did. So what? There are just as many movies that favor the north.

lol, yes, more infact. And if you read the books, you notice that they don't follow any side, only certain people involved, like Lee and Jackson. In this movie, they happened to follow more confederates than yankees. It must be because they were just all-around better people. I didn't read Gods and Generals the book, but I did read Killer Angels, which became the movie Gettysburg. Awesome book, a must read on Lee and Longstreet. It does favor Longstreet pretty heavily though, you just have to read between the lines.

You have to read the book Gods and generals! As your general, I order you to read it! (I like the power of being an administrator. )

I have seen both Gettysburg and Gods and Generals. I really like Gettysburg, and besides "Nanny McPhee" is my favorite. What I have told people who want to know about Gburg, and G&G, I usually tell them that if they like battle scenes, watch Gburg, if they like conversation, watch G&G. I will agree with you, Civ, G&G was a little farby during some spots. IGB, it did side towards the South, but as I have never read the books, I couldn't say as to how closely they do/don't match up.

Returning to the topic at hand, during the scene where the Irish are blowing each others brains out and the Confed Irish discovering their blasting thier brothers, its a heartwrenching scene. And yet, when you think about it, the whole CW was about that, guys finding out the guys their killing are thier brothers. And yet, we don't get chocked up over that. And yet, we should.

I havn't seen all of gods and Generels so I don't Know what part you're talking about, even though I own the movie I havn't taken the time to watch it all.
