Help preserve the statue!

Hey all. I guess this could indeed be considered a battle.

I recently recived this email from a friend:

Our Heritage Needs Your Help,
This is Judson Watkins (Camp 2107 8 Brig--TX--ATM---SCV) I need your help. The president of U.T. University at Austin is threatening to remove the Confederate statues from the university lawn. This is a statue that honors our Texas ancestors.

Wow. But, I'm not so sure I want to help at the moment. EVen if it is just a petition.

Why wouldn't you like to help? Becasue it has to do with the SCV?

Anyway, I recently learned that the studets spen a lot of money getting some statues of: Martin Luther King and a few other prominent people. Why not Lee and Davis?

It's a flank attack! But, I am happy to announce that the Casino in Gettysburg has been rejected! The members of the Civil War Preservation Trust (which includes me) would like to thank everyone who helped stop this abimination from becoming reality.

And, who heard of the northern statues that were broken to pieces at Gettysburg? There was a Cavalry Unit that had it's arm torn off, and an infintary unit that had it's head broken off.

I'm afraid I havent, but I did hear about some things that were vadalized in Gettysburg, not sure which ones they were.

But in this case there are power in numbers IBG. I am very much into war tactics and techniques, i know what an intreched preson can do.

Then, you would know that an entrenched man can kill at least 3 people before being attacked. Even in the older times when they could only hit at 40 yards, they could shoot two men before being attacked at the point of bayonet.

We were on topic Civ. And, I am currently involved with trying to save the Slaugther Pen at Fredricksburg.

And that stops you from signing ONE petition?

Maybe I have other priorities at the moment, such as getting my finals for school done, or else, I don't pass school. Anyone ever thought of that? Besides, the computer I use has a block on the website and calls it tasteless. Don't ask me why.

usually a little salt and pepper helps add lots of flavor IBG. That should make a computer a bit easier to get down. No time to signyet you could take time to give the reasons why you can't.tsktsktsk
