Really after seeing those flicks I'm thinking it's astonishing how good these were.

My favorite was when the American War Department was praising how well the Soviet Red Army was fighting against the big bad Nazis.

How many did you find, and how did you find them? Sounds interesting. Were these Soviet propoganda films?

Not really, these were American propaganda movies mostly designed to really make the Reich and Company look bad, I found them in some video shop back in about the mid-1990s, but I only found them again recently.

I hadn't seen any of those in ages.

But although the videos I got are on VHS tapes, I think it's possible to get those on DVDs.

They were made out of Political newscasts, TV wasn't around in the 1930s so the only ways to see a newscast were either the Radio or the Movie Theater besides the newspapers.
