| Ya, well, I expected as much from Civ lol. I only know ONE girl who likes that movie lol. It's still a great movie though, it's not my fault if most girls don't have good taste in movies...... (don't worry Civ, you probably make up for it in other areas, like, you love the CW) | |

| It's a classic. I thought one of the coolest parts was when they showed FDR being labeled as a security risk. He really wasn't as close-lipped as he should have been, especially his corespondence with Stalin near the end of the war, some could say he was leaking an unnecessary amount of imformation to the communist dictator, and this wasn't good when we were in the process of creating the first Atomic Bomb. Speaking of security risks, did anyone hear about the FBI files that were currently de-classified concerning Marilyn Monroe's death? It turns out that at the time of her death, she was being watched by the FBI, because of trips she took to Mexico to meet with a "screenwriter" who was also a huge supporter of the communist party, and worked with Russian intelligence. Anyway, this was significant because of Monroe's affair with JFK, and the fact that no one really knew what Monroe had heard during meetings with the president and trips to the White House. And now consider that her death was suspicious at best, she supposedly committed suicide by overdose, but of the 7 or 8 bottles of pills found at her bedside table, only 1 was prescribed to her from her doctor, leading way to suspicions that the others were planted there. Anyway, I love conspiracy theories, if only because they're interesting to think about, but I read this in an article that was more than just theory, thanks to the new files just opened. He didn't actually say it, but all the evidence points to murder, not suicide. The first four people to arrive at the scene were the actress' housekeeper, manager, lawyer, and phycologist; the police weren't even notified until hours later. Something that is really far out there, but I think might be within the realm of reason, is this: Marilyn becomes a security risk because of her relationship with the White House, so the CIA took her out. Of course, there are already theories that it was really the CIA that murdered JFK, who died not even a year later. And then, Bobby Kennedy, who had been having an affair with Monroe at the time of her death, was shot on the night of his anticipated nomination for president, in 1968. And, again, the theories already exist as to the CIA murdering RFK. But even aside from the theories, the three people involved in this security leak mess, all died mysterious deaths within a matter of years, with Bobby Kennedy being shot before he could possibly be put in such a position to provide a risk. Something doesn't look right in this picture.... In this situation, I'd go with the conspiricy theorists. | |
