Stupid Rumors of the CW

I just recieved the new issue of the American Civil War Magazine, and, I read the most outrageously stupid rumor. So, I decided to start a thread of CW Rumors. I want only rumors on this.

1. Stonewall Jackson sent his troops in battle at Fredricksburg naked and with no weapon except bowie knives.
2. Confederate troops baynoteded Union troops as they were asleep at Shiloh.
3. Prentiss was the only Union General at the Hornets Nest.

wow... Never heard those. I'm going to search for some!!

1. The Sunken Road at Shiloh was sunken during the battle.
2. Grant was drunk at Shiloh.
3. Yanks had horns.

Yanks had horns? I can believe that... lol

So do Mormons.

Wow, I am definately gona look up some of these now!

They have in the May issue on the ACW Magazine an issue on rumors of the battle of Shiloh.

I have heard the ones about Prentiss being the only union general in the Hornet's Nest, and the one saying that the sunken road was sunk during the battle.

Another rumor is that Confederate Gen. Bernard Bee, the one that gave Jackson his nickname at First Bull Run, actually spoke the legendary line in anger at Jackson, because he (Bee) could sense that the battle was turning in favor of the Confederates, but Jackson refused to advance his men and route the enemy. Gen. Bee was killed only minutes later, and never had the chance to say what he really meant by his statement.
